Some people are just like really comfortable with being shackled. It’s almost as though they have the right idea by embracing their manacled fate instead of trying to fight it. Part of this submission is freely (a somewhat ironic word choice) wearing one’s ID card around his or her neck.
Like any good, loyal dog, the office worker is given an ID tag in the form of a card that can be put on a string and worn around the neck for convenience/embarrassment. The problem with this is manifold. 1) You’re letting everyone in the outside world know that you’re shameless enough to have a job and 2) You’re revealing your Christian name to anyone who wants to Google it. And so I ask, is it really worth the “convenience” of wearing it at all times like a dog collar?
