Like a mosquito bite (or maybe, if you’ve got blood like mine, about twenty of them), working is an annoyance that makes you want to scratch your skin off. That is, until you learn to stop fighting the itch and pretend it’s not happening.
For if you stop trying to make the irritation go away by keeping your hands tied behind your back, the pain becomes duller, less noticeable. More of a tingling, really. Work is the same way. The less you try to combat it, the more accustomed to it you become.
