Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another major chain to allure Southerners and Midwesterners to the Midtown/Times Square nexus, out pops Chick-Fil-A, everyone’s favorite controversial purveyor of fried chicken and waffle fries. Conveniently located at 37th Street and 6th Avenue, office workers dealing with their own Midtown feeding frenzy will be appalled at the sight of the daily lines–unless, of course, they partake in them.
While many New Yorkers are still reeling over the anti-gay comments made by CEO Dan Cathy three years ago, it’s not going to stop the plethora of tourists and open-mouthed mongos from flocking to the eatery with the zeal of a pig hunting for truffles. If you know what’s good for your sanity, you’ll stick to Koreatown for lunch.
