Office Workers Benefitting From Columbus Day Off May Just Redeem Christopher Yet

As each year passes, the concept of Columbus Day becomes less and less chic, with many white people taking it upon themselves to seize the opportunity to pile more guilt on their shoulders for actions committed by their ancestors, thereby (in their minds) exempting them from being seen as racist.

While largely a generally East Coast and specifically New York City celebration, it is Midtown that bears the brunt of the so-called holiday with the parade that takes place between 47th Street and 72nd Street at Fifth Avenue. Luckily, most office workers do not have to suffer through the scene of thousands of faux Italians of the NYC and New Jersey breed flying their flags and causing a spectacle.

For you see, as loathed as Columbus is at this point in time, his discriminating ass still gets you out of work one day a year.
