What do we mean when we say “anything good”? Well, good usually constitutes things that are fun, easy or result in an orgasm. This is why it’s a bit annoying that the one thing a person can do to avoid or take a break from working–grad school–offers nothing compelling in the way of Master’s degrees.
Sure, you get a Master’s degree in something you “like,” but that’s ultimately going to land you right back in the office chair–with oodles of debt, to boot. So the least grad school could do is offer a degree in something like Beach Lounging or Day Drinking for all the money you’re spending. This way, you could at least feel as though you’ve returned to the working world truly refreshed after a two-year vacation.
