Sometimes (all the time), it’s really annoying when people who control you a.k.a. your superiors just take for granted that you show up for work, expecting you to get there at a “reasonable hour” so that they can act as modern day enslavers of your existence.
But did anyone ever take the time to think that maybe they should acknowledge that your mere presence at the office should be gift enough to quell their thirst for sadism? No. Because your being there isn’t enough. You actually have to “do work,” too. What’s next, staying a full eight hours and actually working for most of them?
