What Do You Want To Do?

It’s rare anymore when someone asks, “What do you want to do?” with reference to your “career.” Usually, doing something you truly want seems so far out of the realm of possibility that you get blindsided by such a straightforward question.

But then, when you actually stop to think about what you wish you could be paid for, you know, deep down, that you should never have let the query be wielded upon you. Because now, you’re pondering too much–realizing that the office is all, a trap you can chew yourself out of time and again, but that will always recapture you.
