The Office Worker Who Tries To Squeeze the Fun Out of a Holiday Weekend

When an office worker feels the pressure to “have fun” on his extended breaks, he or she tends to “bite off more than he or she can chew” (this generally refers to fat-inducing materials like burgers and alcohol). The pressure to squeeze as much fun out of a holiday weekend is not only pathetic and rather telling of how little enjoyment the office worker is able to have under ordinary circumstances, but also just how much he or she has even forgotten what to do with himself or herself with so much available time.

Accordingly, the best way to celebrate a three-day weekend, such as Memorial Day, is to do nothing. To languish in the banality of life that exists outside of the cube as well. Because who are you kidding? There’s nothing more to life than making money.
