Sbarro: Your White Wine Resource

There are few perks to working in the Midtown/Times Square bowel. One of them, however, is close proximity to one of the only Sbarros in the New York City area. The benefit of being close to Sbarro is in no way because of the “Italian” food offered (though it’s preferable to Olive Garden), but because of the wine selection–particularly white.

Granted, they have reds to choose from as well, but if you’re drinking on your lunch break, you’re going to want to avoid exhibiting telltale signs of drunkenness, like wine teeth. With affordable bottles ranging from $6-$10, you can get buzzed with more–for less. Not only that, but sitting in Sbarro provides you with all the entertainment you need, from judging Midwestern fashions to overhearing discussions from Eurotrash. By the time you return to your cube, you’ll be alcoholically and mentally fortified.
