For most (non-racist) people, giving Martin Luther King Jr. Day off is a given. It is a nationally recognized holiday, after all. But then there are some places (like certain sadistic offices or Starbucks) that force you to work regardless of the fact that you should be sitting on your ass all day binge-watching The Sopranos.
Granted, there are a wealth of bull shit holidays that other people get off and you don’t, but MLK Day should not be one of them. One would think that in these evermore delicate times of race-related issues, a company wouldn’t want to rock the boat by forcing people to adhere to eight-hour slavery, but hey, who is an office worker to question best business practices?
