I Can’t Come In, I’m Sick (Cough, Cough)

We’re all sick in some way. It’s a very all-encompassing term. Therefore, calling out sick to work is perfectly legitimate if you’re either conventionally ill or emotionally spent from the time that is drained from you as you sit in your cubicle and constantly risk the potential of getting a blood clot in your leg from being required to sit in one place for eight hours with a mere hour reprieve.

Being sick is a constant state of existence when you’re working corporate–which is why telling your employer you won’t be able to come in today due to your health is not a lie, as mental health is perhaps even more significant than physical health when you’re forced to be a shill.
