In keeping with the tone and pitch of the execubitch, “clackers” are generally powerhouse, high salaried women who feel the need to wear intensely heeled shoes and clack them as loudly as possible against the floors of office buildings.
When you’re just a demure little office worker rolling up in your tennies and/or flats, the sight and sound of the clackers can be rather intimidating. It’s almost as though the only thing that could stop them or stand in their way is the presence of a Mack truck. Such is the ambition of a clacker on the corporate ladder.
