Career Counseling

The concept of career counseling has never really sat all that well with me. The notion of needing to be counseled/talked through coming to terms with what you want to do in life for money is very telling indeed.

Starting as early as freshman year of high school during these competitive job seeking times, you’re given standardized tests and other “interactive” activities to determine what you should be doing with your life once you’re thrust into the world as though you’re being reborn all over again. But instead of “counseling” you, what they should do is provide actual therapy in conjunction with antidepressants so that you can better deal with the submission of your will.
